Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez (/ˈzdrilftɛ/ /zu mi̽t/ [survey] [shark]) is a subtropical Town located in the Zi̽astgal Diocese of the Covenent of Irus.

The name Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez was founded by Odrid Wudush, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Overview

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez was founded durring the late 17th century in early spring of the year 1653, by Odrid Wudush. The establishment of Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Odrid Wudush electing to pay people to resettle in Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez.

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez is was constructed arround several spacious packed earth mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez is like a look into a broken heart which long ago fell to corruption. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need… unless of course, they would be an easy target for some robbery. The town has truly fallen to evil.

Civic Infrastructure

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez's parks.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In Zdrilftë-zu Mi̽t Kez every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.
